Solar-Powered Chicken and Turkey

Chickens and turkeys are sheltered from predators but moved to fresh grass daily
Our farm model is based on trying to partner with what God is doing in the world around us all the time. Energy from the Sun is captured in native grasses which grow when the soils are healthy and moist. This is why we call our chickens, Lamppost Farm Solar-Powered Chicken. It is the grass that makes all the difference! Chickens and turkeys raised on grass contain significantly higher amounts of Omega-3 fats (good fats that fight heart disease) and Conjugated Linoliac Acids (known to fight cancer) as well as high protein. Their consumption of grasses also decreases the amount of Omega-6 (bad fats linked to heart disease) in the meat.
