Lamppost Farm Field Day - Oct 24th.

Picture
Monty kids sneak a peak at new pigs!
Join us at the farm, rain or shine, for a day filled with culture-making fun.  We have altered the original line-up of activities because of the forcast yet our hopes and goals have remained the same: to provide hands-on Lamppost Farm Agri-Culture activities to our guests that they may relate differently to others, God, themselves, and the world around them.  Show up early for apple butter cooking (5am), hear a brief introduction to "Culture-Making through Lamppost Farm Agri-Culture" (9am), arrive throughout the day to participate in one of the many seminars/workshops/discussions, or just come for dinner to partake in Solar-Powered Chicken cooked with love and care.

Some activities that are available may include:
- Backyard chicken coop building
- Chicken butchering from field to freezer
- Worship in the loft
- Designing of a wall mural
- Build cabinetry from farm trees
- Milk a goat and make delicious cheese
- Trapping with Nate
- Make apple butter and press fresh cider
- Bake homemade bread
- Discuss current agricultural and cultural issues
- Take a pasture walk during a break in the weather to see new beef cattle, pigs, goats, chickens, etc...
- Enjoy a homemade meal together with friends!

The field day is free to all and the meal costs $10 per adult, $5 per child, or $30 for a family.  We look forward to seeing you at the farm...14900 Market St., Columbiana, OH 44408 or call 330-482-3246 for directions.
