Facilitated events at Lamppost Farm are designed to give participants hands-on experiences-- opportunities to draw near. This could include all sorts of farm-life activities: hand-milking cows, feeding chickens, harvesting vegetables and herbs from the garden, making sauerkraut or salsa, pressing cider, refinishing furniture, maintaining a compost pile, etc. We have hosted corporate trainings, youth groups, community service projects, family reunions, company picnics and even weddings! Whatever you need, we are willing to create a dynamic and educational experience for all ages. Contact 330-531-4240 or email us at lamppostfarm@gmail.com Events can be pre-arranged and cost is to be determined. |

"In schools, we create artificial learning environments for our children that they know to be contrived and undeserving of their full attention and engagement. Without the opportunity to learn through the hands, the world remains abstract, and distant, and the passions for learning will not be engaged."

Lamppost Farm's Fields' Corners Project serving those with cancer
to run its pilot program starting in January 2022
The name Fields’ Corners comes from the Hebrew word, kanaph, which can mean “corners”, “extremities” or “wings”. This word is used in scripture to connote God’s healing, protection and provision. If you recall in the book of Ruth, she was cared for under the Hebrew practice of farmers leaving the corners of their fields ungleaned for those in need to harvest. Lamppost Farm hopes to share our resources through Fields’ Corners with our community in this way.
Our belief is that cancer is an indicator of the dis-ease of a whole person. The goal of the Fields’ Corners Project is to help one other access our God-given ability to be at ease by helping its participants move from a narrative of dis-ease towards one of increasing ease. Our approach is to promote health and empowerment through educational material and integrative approaches that support vitality.
